Music at The Shore

We offer a range of music activities, including individual tuition sessions and technical support for to bands. Our facilities page displays some of see some of the kit we have and the latest news will keep you informed about what's coming up.

DAFT Music Project

DAFT (Drug and Alcohol Free Time), is a city wide music project based at The Shore. DAFT runs a number of closed groups in partnership with Dundee City Council Education Department, Dundee College, Greylodge Settlement and the Central Youth Work Team.

Music tuition

Tuesday 5.00 - 7.00  Cost: Free, please book

If you would like to try playing an instrument for the first time, brush up your strumming skills or get involved behind the scenes, drop in into the group and see what's going on. You can take part any Tuesday, meeting new friends and linking up with others who enjoy making music. We have plenty of instruments you can use or you can bring your own.

Friday events

Friday 7.30 - 10.00  Cost: Free, except band nights - £1

Friday music night events are now run every Friday and showcase many talented young people. We offer bands nights, discos, karaoke and DJ sessions, as well as open evenings (see Events). Check out the blog for up-to-date information about who or what is on and happening. If you want to and book a Friday gig or Tuesday rehearsal session, contact us above.
