Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Dundee Open Award unit is based at The Shore and is run by full time / part time staff and a handful of dedicated volunteers.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award has three levels Bronze, Silver and Gold, all award levels have different requirements you have to meet to achieve each level. At each level there are four sections you must complete to gain your full certificate. However you can get sectional certificates at Volunteering (giving something to the community), Skill (learning something new), Physical (taking part in a sport) and an Expedition (wild camping). At Gold there is also a Residential (take part in an activity away from home), when you complete part of an award.

We operate a drop-in facility (Thursday 4-7.30pm) for all past/present/future participants, leaders, volunteers, parents and anyone interested in finding out more about DofE.

We provide support and access to equipment/resources to help you complete sections within your award.

DofE now uses online recording of your progress and charts this using eDofE we provide support and guidance to anyone using this resource.
